Online flat glasgow in retirement sale resources and information
It would be great if we could all retire with a nice portfolio of savings and pension income, without having to worry about paying the bills most retired people pay.
Yet...many retirees are living out their retirement on the breadline without much hope for even going on holiday without being assisted by relatives or even handouts. Don't let yourself be one of them...it's never too late!
Title : Invest in Yourself: Six Secrets to a Rich Life Author : Marc Eisenson Rating : 4 Stars out of 5. Summary : small technics make big differences
It only took me 30 seconds to buy the book after I scan the titles of the chapters in a fantasitic bookstore in middle Taiwan...all matter to me even if I am a Taiwanese who's so different from those who are supposed to read it.The subject is so universal that, after wandering among the shelves for hours with limited budgets, I decided to take it. The book provides us with so many tips and give us so many substantial thoughts and agendas that a man has to take to make himself rich, materially and spiritually. I am so amazed that, even books about the same subjects in the books are countless, this is a real DIFFERENT book which is written on basis of the authurs' financial expertise and their ideas of helping people, withour meaningless preach and crabbs. This book is a real life bible. I am so glad that I have it.
Title : The New Golden Door to Retirement and Living in Costa Rica: A Guide to Inexpensive Living, Making Money and Finding Love in a Peaceful Tropical Paradise Author : Christopher Howard Rating : 5 Stars out of 5. Summary : "This Books is my Right Hand"
This book is my Right Hand, as manager of the Residents Association of Costa Rica (ARCR), I have found that newcomers sometimes seem to know more about Costa Rica than people living here just because they read this excellent book.
Title : The Coming Generational Storm: What You Need to Know About America's Economic Future Author : Laurence J. Kotlikoff Rating : 5 Stars out of 5. Summary : Packed With Knowledge!
This volume is infinitely more thoughtful than most of the books that point to the expected insolvency of the Social Security system and pronounce that the fiscal sky is falling. After all, the U.S. economy has weathered plenty of fiscal crises before, but those in power have barely addressed this one. Authors Laurence J. Kotlikoff and Scott Burns ask you to realize that the government is saddling your children with unbearable debt. One by one, they strip away all the supposed answers to the demographic bulge and economic bust that characterize the impending mass retirement of the baby boom generation. They demonstrate that the dwindling number of working-age citizens simply will not be able to support the coming onslaught of retirees. The python has eaten the rabbit, but will it be able to swallow? Kotlikoff's "generational accounting" explains that government is running up charges on our kids' credit cards. And like any bill that doesn't get paid, this one will keep getting bigger. We recommend this nicely crafted book to all responsible citizens.
Title : You've Earned It, Don't Lose It: Mistakes You Can't Afford to Make When You Retire: 6-copy Counter Display Pack Author : Suze Orman Rating : 5 Stars out of 5. Summary : Very specific, useful info for BIG retirement decisions.
Orman provides very specific information and advice that you will not find unless you shell out big bucks to a financial advisor. For example, Orman tells you how to take money from your IRA before age 59 1/2 with NO PENALTY (substantially equal periodic payments), but adds VERY IMPORTANT advice on how to structure the portfolio to protect the nest egg. Another example of very specific, useful info includes the chapter on long-term care which gives instuctions on how to determine if you need LTC insurance, how much to buy, when to buy, what kind of company to buy from, etc.
The entire book is filled with this kind of specific info - a "must read" for the "do-it-your-self" personal financial manager.
Title : Bankroll Your Future: How to Get Most from Uncle Sam for Your Retirement Years - Social Security, Medicare and Much More Author : Ellen Hoffman Rating : 5 Stars out of 5. Summary : If you are planning retirement, buy this book.
I am at that age where there's alot fewer years ahead than there are behind. To wit, I am at a time when I must be plotting my financial survival beyond my professional career. Title : Life Begins at 50: A Handbook for Creative Retirement Planning Author : Leonard J. Hansen Rating : 5 Stars out of 5. Summary : The most down-to-earth, practical handbook I have ever found
There are a lot of books on "retirement" out there. There are very few like this one. I was delighted with the way it laid out every aspect of these special years of one's life. Unlike so many other texts I found on the booksellers's shelves, this one--at least to me, someone who was fast approaching fifty at the time--was downright practical. I wasn't interested in all the academic mumbo jumbo a lot of the other books contained. I just wanted a down-to-earth, practical handbook that would guide me through this potential minefield of bureaucratic and oftentimes nonsense that comes with government activity. It was obvious to me at first reading, that here was a person who was writing from his own experience, combined with an authoritative background in this very specialized field. I'm sure glad I found it!
