Online early retirement in the nhs resources and information

It would be great if we could all retire with a nice portfolio of savings and pension income, without having to worry about paying the bills most retired people pay.

Yet...many retirees are living out their retirement on the breadline without much hope for even going on holiday without being assisted by relatives or even handouts. Don't let yourself be one of them...it's never too late!

Title : Get a Life: You Don't Need a Million to Retire Well (Get a Life: You Don't Need a Million to Retire Well)
Author : Ralph E. Warner
Rating : 5 Stars out of 5.
Summary : This is the best retirement planning book I've ever read!

This is the first retirement planning book I've ever read that realistically addresses how much money you really need to save for the lifestyle you want. I now realize that I don't need to save millions, that my current saving plan is perfectly adequate for the lifestyle I want. I can relax, enjoy my life and family, and work on retaining my health.

Title : The 401(k) Millionaire: How I Started with Nothing and Made a Million and You Can, Too
Author : Knute Iwaszko
Rating : 4 Stars out of 5.
Summary : Changing my ways in 1999!

I never saved much because I didn't believe my small savings could make any difference and I never knew what to do with my money. Read this book to learn why saving is key and time (and compound interest!) are your best friends. The book also suggests money allocation strategies as you get nearer to your goals.

Title : Roth to Riches: The Ordinary to Roth Ira Handbook
Author : John D. Bledsoe
Rating : 5 Stars out of 5.
Summary : An easy-to-read book on Roth IRAs that's also comprehensive.

This is the first consumer-oriented book published (July, 1997) about the Roth IRA. As it turns out, it is a superb effort and one that other authors will be hard pressed to match with future Roth IRA titles. The author obviously spent many months fine-tuning his work. As the editor of the Roth IRA Web Site, I read this book in well under two hours and found it to be a remarkably easy-to-read book. One doesn't expect books on topics such as Roth IRAs to be pleasant reads, but this book was both fun-to-read and informative at the same time! I also gave the book to several others to read (including one person who had no idea how IRAs worked) and they confirmed my judgement. This is a great book on both traditional IRAs and Roth IRAs.

From a technical viewpoint, the information presented appears to be quite accurate and comprehensive. Although the Roth IRA technical corrections were not yet signed into law when the book was published, the author was obviously quite familiar with the proposed changes and he does reference the more important provisions. (The last page of the book provides a form to send in for a free report on the final Roth regulations when available.)

The book is 198 pages (8½" x 11" size) with the actual text running through page 90. Pages 91 through 121 are what the author calls Roth Conversion Advantage charts. Most of the rest of the book consists of a reprint of IRS Publication 590, the IRS explanation of IRAs. After you see the IRS explanation of how traditional IRAs work, you will like Roth IRAs even more!

Title : The Joy of Not Working: A Book for the Retired, Unemployed, and Overworked
Author : Ernie J. Zelinski
Rating : 5 Stars out of 5.
Summary : Amusing, wise, easy to dip into informative book.

For anyone driven to work hard due to overconditioning in the work ethic this book is a must. The Chapter "Life Of O'Rielly" emphasises the stresses of modern life and how, with a different atttitude these can be avoided. For those about to retire this book is a must, however it is a good read for anyone in work who wants to alter their lifestyle. Zalinsky writes infomatively on many subjects, from using one's brain creatively to avoiding negative people. This book does not advocate idleness instead it gives pointers to enjoying life. The author discovered the joy of not working when he lost his job. After a period of despondancy, he discovered that a more liesurly pace of life has much to offer and a lot of money is not always necessary.

Title : A Peaceful Retirement
Author : Read
Rating : 5 Stars out of 5.
Summary : A lovely and entertaining read, a book to get lost in.

Miss Read, again manages to captivate the feelings of those who to are approaching retirement; and also of those who aren't. Her characters are all someone you know in your own life. Always feeling that they could be so and so. I always felt as if I was included in the story, like I was a friend. I'm an avid reader of her books but it seems this is the last one? She puts such warmth and feeling into this book it spills out from every page. It is obvious that her friends are as devoted to her as she is to them whatever happens. The frequent requests of marriage from John Jenkins are bittersweet and has nearly succumb once or twice. Her lifelong friend Amy, trying so hard to matchmake over the years, tries not to let John Jenkins slip through Miss Reads' fingers but alas fails again. She gets great support from Henry Mawne, who has also been a suitor in the past but Miss Read also gently refused him. She looks forward to retirement with joy and some trepidation, however handles the situation very well. I hope there will be more stories from her in the not to distant future.
